Clear answers to the questions we hear most from individuals, families and professionals.
Carefree Getaway Limited is a London-based specialist provider of structured supported travel experiences for semi-independent individuals aged 16 and above who are able to manage their personal care independently. Our services focus on helping individuals explore new environments safely while building confidence, independence and meaningful life experiences through carefully planned and professionally supported travel.
Our services are designed for individuals aged 16 and above who are able to manage their personal care independently but benefit from reassurance, structure or supervision while travelling. This may include individuals with learning disabilities, autism, anxiety around unfamiliar environments, or limited travel confidence.
No. Carefree Getaway Limited does not provide regulated personal care services such as assistance with washing, dressing, toileting, feeding or medication administration. Our services focus on supported travel coordination and supervision for individuals who are able to manage their own personal care independently. If personal care is required during travel, it must be provided by a registered care provider.
We support a range of travel experiences, including short supported breaks, weekend travel experiences, cultural visits and city trips, confidence-building travel experiences, and leisure and recreational travel activities. Every trip is individually planned to suit the person's needs, interests and independence level.
Safety is central to our approach. We maintain a structured safeguarding framework that includes Enhanced DBS checks for all staff, risk assessments for each trip, clear professional boundaries, emergency contact procedures, and structured travel planning. These measures help ensure that individuals can enjoy travel experiences while remaining safe and supported.
Our process is straightforward and transparent: initial enquiry or consultation request; discussion about travel needs and preferences; planning of the travel experience; agreement on the scope of support and pricing; delivery of the supported travel experience. We aim to ensure that every trip is clearly planned and suitable for the individual before travel arrangements are confirmed.

We are a London-based service and focus on supported travel experiences across London, other suitable locations within the UK, and international trips where appropriate. Travel destinations are always discussed and agreed during the planning stage to ensure they are appropriate for the individual.
Each travel experience is planned individually, so pricing depends on trip duration, travel location, accommodation requirements, staffing arrangements, and level of support required. We provide transparent pricing during the consultation process so families and professionals clearly understand what is included.
